Today I will provide biographical information on BJ Habibi

Prof. Dr. Ing. H. Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, FREng (born in Parepare, South Sulawesi, 25 June 1936 - died in Jakarta, 11 September 2019 at the age of 83 years, who is familiarly called BJ Habibie or simply Habibie) is the third President of the Republic of Indonesia. Previously, B.J. Habibie tapie as the 7th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, replacing Try Sutrisno. B. J. Habibie replaced Suharto, who resigned from his presidency on May 21, 1998. Before entering politics, Habibie was widely known as a professor and scientist in international aviation technology and the only Indonesian president with a technical background.

B.J. Habibie was later replaced by Abdurrahman Wahid [5] (Gus Dur) who was elected president on October 20, 1999 by the MPR as a result of the 1999 General Election. By serving for 2 months and 7 days (as vice president) and also for 1 year and 5 months (as president), BJ Habibie is the Vice President and also the President of Indonesia with the shortest term of office.

B. J. Habibie is the first Indonesian president who was born outside Java and comes from Gorontalo ethnicity, Sulawesi from his father's lineage who came from Kabila, Gorontalo and ethnic Javanese from his mother who came from Yogyakarta.

Currently, the Provincial Government of Gorontalo has initiated the construction of the B.J. Monument. Habibie in front of the main gate of Djalaluddin Airport, in Gorontalo District. In addition, the people of Gorontalo Province had suggested the name B.J. Habibie is used as the name of the local state university, replacing the name Gorontalo State University which is still in use.

B.J. Habibie is the fourth of eight children, the pair Alwi Abdul Jalil Habibie and R.A. Tuti Marini Puspowardojo. His father, who works as an agricultural expert, comes from the Gorontalo ethnic group, while his mother is from the Javanese ethnicity.

Alwi Abdul Jalil Habibie (father of B.J. Habibie) has the "Habibie" clan, one of the original clans in the Pohala'a (Kingdom and Kinship) social structure in Gorontalo. Meanwhile, R.A. Tuti Marini Puspowardojo (mother of B.J. Habibie) is the daughter of an ophthalmologist in Yogyakarta, and her father, Puspowardjojo, is the owner of the school.

The Habibie clan has historically originated from the Kabila region, an area in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. From the family tree, the grandfather of B.J. Habibie is a religious leader, member of the religious court board, and one of the famous Gorontalo customary leaders at that time. As a child, Habibie had visited Gorontalo to follow the circumcision process and traditional ceremonies which were carried out according to Islamic law and Gorontalo customs
